Baruch Ata YHVH, Elohim of Yisra’el. We thank You for this set-apart Shabbat in the midst of Sukkot - a double portion of peace and joy. May Your Ru’ach rest upon every dwelling and may Your Light shine within us as we remain in Your presence. Teach us to walk in Your truth and rejoice in Your Torah. Baruch YHVH.
As we partake of the bread and the fruit of the vine, we remember that Yahusha is our Living Bread and our Cup of Deliverance. In Him we dwell safely. His body was given, His blood was poured out for our redemption. We remain under His covering, thankful that His sukkah of salvation surrounds us.
During Sukkot, we remember the temporary dwellings that our fathers lived in when YHVH brought them out of Mitsrayim. Yet in every humble tent, there was the brilliance of YHVH’s presence - the Pillar of Fire that gave light by night.
“And YHVH went before them by day in a column of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a column of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.”
- Shemot 13:21 (YAH Scriptures)
That same Light still dwells within every believer who abides in Yahusha. The sukkah is not only a reminder of past deliverance - it is a picture of our hearts as temporary dwellings for the eternal Light. The Master Himself said:
“I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall by no means walk in darkness, but possess the light of life.”
- Yoḥanan 8:12 (YAH Scriptures)
When we invite His presence into our lives, our earthly sukkah becomes filled with the heavenly radiance of YHVH. Darkness cannot remain where His Light dwells. So let this Shabbat of Sukkot be more than rest - let it be a rekindling of that Light within. Let us cleanse our hearts, rebuild our inner sukkah, and allow the Ru’ach to illuminate every shadowed corner of our lives.
“And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it, for the esteem of Elohim lightened it, and the Lamb is its lamp.”
- Ḥazon 21:23 (YAH Scriptures)
Baruch YHVH, the Light within the Dwelling.
Baruch Ata YHVH, our Light and our Salvation. Thank You for the Shabbat rest and for the festival of joy. Dwell within our sukkot and our hearts. Let Your Light dispel the darkness in our families, our nations, and in the world. Strengthen the weary, heal the broken, and draw Your people near. In the name of Yahusha HaMashiach. Baruch YHVH.
“Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: YHVH is our Elohim, YHVH is one.
And you shall love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.
And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.
And you shall teach them diligently to your children,
And you shall speak of them when you sit in your house,
And when you walk by the way,
And when you lie down,
And when you rise up.
- Devarim 6:4-9 (YAH Scriptures)
“YHVH bless you, and keep you;
YHVH make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
YHVH lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.”
- Bemiḏbar 6:24-26 (YAH Scriptures)
Until tomorrow. Shalom!
