Baruch Ata YHVH, our Elohim, Sovereign of the heavens and the earth. Thank You for bringing us to this day of the Feast of Booths. May Your presence dwell among us in truth and joy. May our hearts be open to receive Your teaching, and our lives be a dwelling place for Your glory. Baruch YHVH.
As we partake of the bread and the cup, let us remember: this is the symbol of His body given for us and His blood shed for our redemption. In this booth, in this moment, we share in His life, His covering, and His peace. And we also remember it is our betrothal to our Adon.
This morning, on Erev Shabbat, we stand in holy expectation. The sukkah becomes a sanctuary and a prophetic sign of HaMashiach’s coming reign. We prepare our hearts to dwell in His rest.
“My Dwelling shall be with them, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.”
- Yeḥezqěl 37:27 (YAH Scriptures)
Shabbat invites us to know His rest, to dwell not just in booths, but in the eternal presence of YHVH. The second day of Sukkot is deeper than remembrance - it is revelation. The sukkah is fragile, yet it speaks of trust: that our protection comes not from walls of stone but from the covering Presence of YHWH.
“For in the day of evil He hides me in His booth; In the covering of His Tent He hides me; On a rock He raises me up.”
- Tehillim 27:5 (YAH Scriptures)
This reminds us that dwelling in His presence is both a refuge and a revelation.
“Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native born in Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths, so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’ĕl dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am YHVH your Elohim.”
- Wayyiqra 23:42-43 (YAH Scriptures)
The Feast teaches us generational trust - the memory of deliverance, but also the vision of the coming dwelling of Elohim with His people.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, Who abides under the shadow of the Almighty, He is saying of YHVH, ‘My refuge and my stronghold, My Elohim, in whom I trust!’”
- Tehillim 91:1-2 (YAH Scriptures)
Today, discernment is given to those who dwell under His shadow. Where we dwell reveals the state of our hearts.
“Then YHVH shall create over all the dwelling place of Mount Tsiyon, and over her gatherings, a cloud by day and smoke and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there shall be a covering, and a booth for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.”
- Yeshayahu 4:5-6 (YAH Scriptures)
The cloud is His glory - His covering that teaches us how to live.
Baruch Ata YHVH, our Shelter and our Strength. Thank You for Your covering and teaching. May our hearts remain in Your dwelling and our lives be full of Your joy and discernment. We pray for peace in Middle East, South Africa and the world. You alone are the true Peacemaker. We also pray for end-time revival. The Ru'ach is waking the set-apart remnant already. We also pray for the elderly. Protect them against abuse and let their children honour them. We also pray for the farmers putting food on our tables. Let their crops and animals be blessed, and protect them in countries like South Africa where they are attacked without reason. Put them under a host of protection angels and bring all their enemies to account. We also pray for evangelists all over the world especially in those countries where they are persecuted. Protect them with angels that fold their wings over them. We also pray for ill people, especially those with cancer and new viral diseases that are spreading like wildfires. You are our Healer and Protector. We also pray for the coming tribulation as the signs of the birth pains are here already. Prepare us for the coming Snatching. And then we pray for our ministry, Derech Olam Ministries. Take Your Word over the ethernet to those who are hungry for it. Todah va Yadah. In the name of Yahusha HaMashiach. Baruch YHVH.
“Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: YHVH is our Elohim, YHVH is one. And you shall love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and you shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them upon the doorposts of your house, and upon your gates.”
- Devarim 6:4-9 (YAH Scriptures)
“YHVH bless you, and keep you;
YHVH make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
YHVH lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.”
- Bemiḏbar 6:24-26 (YAH Scriptures)
Until tomorrow. Shalom!
