🌿 SUKKOT DAY 1 - THE DWELLING OF JOY

Theme: Rejoicing in the Shadow of the Almighty
Reading: Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:33-44 | Zekaryah (Zechariah) 14:16-19 | YohĚŁanan (John) 7:1-14

🤲🏻 OPENING PRAYER

Abba YHVH, we come before You with thanksgiving as we begin this Feast of Sukkot. You commanded Yisra’el to dwell in sukkot so that we may remember how You made our fathers to dwell under Your covering in the wilderness. As we leave our strong houses for these temporary shelters, teach us to rest under Your shadow. Fill our sukkot with shalom, joy, and the presence of the Ru’ach Ha’Qodesh. May this appointed time renew our hearts and draw us nearer to You. Baruch YHVH!

🍷 COMMUNION - RENEWAL OF THE COVENANT AND BETROTHAL

As we break the bread and lift the cup, we remember the words of Yahusha: “This is My body which is given for you; this cup is the renewed Covenant in My blood.” We receive it in thanksgiving and reverence, renewing both our covenant and our betrothal vows to the Bridegroom. As Yisra’el was betrothed to YHVH at Mount Sinai, so we pledge ourselves again to Yahusha, our Redeemer and soon-coming King. May this act of communion seal our hearts in faithfulness, declaring that we are His, and He is ours.

đź“– MESSAGE

Sukkot is the Feast of Joy, the celebration of YHVH’s dwelling among His people. It reminds us that our security is not found in walls or wealth, but in His Presence.

“You shall dwell in booths seven days. All who are native born in Yisra’el shall dwell in booths, so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’el dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am YHVH your Elohim.”
- Wayyiqra 23:42-43

Each branch laid on the sukkah roof reminds us of His covering. The open sky above reminds us to look upward. In these humble dwellings, we learn again that He is our Shelter, our Provider, our Protector.

“And it shall be that all who are left from all the nations which came up against Yerushalayim shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the Sovereign, YHVH of hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths.”
- Zekaryah 14:16

The Feast will one day be kept by all nations when the King reigns from Yerushalayim.

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me, and let him who believes in Me drink. As the Scripture said, out of his innermost shall flow rivers of living water.”
- YohĚŁanan 7:37-38

Yahusha's cry in Yohanan, says that The Living Water flows from Him who tabernacles with us.

Rejoice therefore in the shadow of the Almighty. Let your sukkah become a sanctuary of praise. Gather your family, your friends, your neighbours. Let your laughter rise as incense to YHVH. As you wave the lulav and etrog, proclaim His faithfulness and rejoice in His salvation. For this week we remember not only where we came from, but Who walks with us still.

🤲🏻 PRAYER

Abba YHVH, we thank You for Your covenant love and for this Feast of Joy. Dwell with us this week. Renew Your covering over our homes. Let our hearts overflow with gratitude. May every sukkah be filled with Your Ru’ach and with songs of rejoicing. Heal the brokenhearted, restore the weary, and bind us together as one Bride awaiting the Bridegroom. Baruch YHVH, who causes His Presence to dwell among His people! Baruch YHVH!

🕎 SHEMA

Hear, O Yisra’el: YHWH our Elohim, YHWH is One.
