Levite Magdalena bat Korah:
Theme: "The Joy of Rest in His Presence"
Abba YHVH, this morning we come before You with hearts full of gratitude. You have brought us safely through another week and invited us into the holiness of Your Shabbat. Let Your Ruach rest upon us. Let our minds be quiet before You, our hearts pure, and our words full of thanksgiving.
Baruch YHVH.
We remember Yahusha HaMashiach, the Master of Shabbat and the Bread of Life.
As we partake of the lechem (bread), we remember His body that was given for us - so that by His stripes we might be healed.
As we drink of the fruit of the vine, we remember His blood of the renewed covenant - poured out for forgiveness and restoration.
Today, as we rest in His presence, we affirm our covenant to walk in His Torah, to follow His footsteps, and to honour the rest that He has given.
Baruch YHVH.
Shabbat is not just a day - it is a revelation. From the beginning of creation, YHVH sanctified the seventh day as a prophetic shadow of His eternal Kingdom. In this weekly rhythm of rest, He calls His people to step out of the chaos of the world and into the peace of His presence.
βAnd Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made.β
- Bereshith 2:3 (YAH Scriptures)
When we enter Shabbat, we align ourselves with the order of heaven. The world teaches us to measure our worth by our work - but YHVH teaches us that true worth is found in resting in Him. Shabbat reminds us that the One who created all things also sustains all things.
Every act of resting, every song of praise, every quiet moment with His Word declares our trust in His provision.
βMy presence shall go with you, and I shall give you rest.β
- Shemoth 33:14 (YAH Scriptures)
This rest is not a pause from purpose - it is the fulfilment of it. In His presence, our souls find balance again. The noise of the world fades, and the voice of our Shepherd becomes clear. Shabbat is heaven touching earth - a time when our spirits breathe deeply again.
It is written that those who delight in the Shabbat will delight in YHVH Himself. When we stop doing our own pleasure and learn to rejoice in His ways, we discover a peace that no world can give and no circumstance can take away.
βIf you do turn back your foot from the Shabbat, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Shabbat 'a delight,' the set-apart day of YHVH 'esteemed,' and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then you shall delight yourself in YHVH.β
- Yeshayahu 58:13β14 (YAH Scriptures)
This Shabbat, may we not simply rest our bodies, but let our hearts rest in Him who finished His work and now invites us to enter into His rest. As we rejoice in His presence, may our homes be filled with light, our mouths with praise, and our spirits with the joy of His salvation.
Shabbat is a rehearsal of eternity - a weekly reminder that one day, Yahusha will reign from Yerushalayim, and all creation will rest in perfect harmony. Until that day, let us cherish this foretaste of His Kingdom and rejoice in the privilege of resting with our King.
As you enjoy this Shabbat, take a moment to breathe deeply and remember Who gave it.
Ask yourself:
Let your answer be worship. Let your rest become testimony.
YHVH our Elohim, thank You for the peace of this holy Shabbat. Thank You for the joy of resting in Your presence and the strength that comes from Your Word.
Let this day renew our hearts, heal our spirits, and refocus our minds on what is eternal. May Your light shine in us and through us in the week to come.
Baruch YHVH.
βHear, O Yisra'Δl: YHVH is our Elohim, YHVH is one. And you shall love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. And you shall teach them diligently to your children, And you shall speak of them when you sit in your house, And when you walk by the way, And when you lie down, And when you rise up.β
- Devarim 6:4β9 (YAH Scriptures)
βYHVH bless you and keep you. YHVH make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. YHVH lift up His face upon you and give you shalom.β
- Bemidbar 6:24β26 (YAH Scriptures)
Until tomorrow! Shalom.
