Theme - The Living Bread and the Lamp of Truth

🤲🏻 Opening Prayer

Abba YHVH, we thank You for this radiant morning and for awakening us to another day of Your goodness. As we begin this Erev Shabbat morning, may Your Word be the first voice we hear and the last thought we hold. Let Your Davar Lechem strengthen our spirits and guide our steps in righteousness. May this morning’s devotion prepare us to enter Your Shabbat with hearts purified and renewed.

Baruch YHVH.

📖 Message

As we rise on this Erev Shabbat morning of Shevi’i 23, we are reminded that Yahusha, the Living Bread (Davar Lechem), is both our nourishment and our light.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of YHVH.”

- Devarim 8:3 (YAH Scriptures)

Mosheh taught Yisra’el that true sustenance is not found in the manna or in material provision, but in obedience to the Word of YHVH. Yahusha confirmed this in the wilderness - that life in the Ruach depends entirely upon the Father’s Word.

As we prepare for the sanctity of Shabbat, we are called to inspect what nourishes our souls. The bread of this world satisfies briefly, but the Bread of Life - the Word of YHVH - endures forever.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

- Tehillim 119:105 (YAH Scriptures)

The Lamp of the Word and the Bread of Life are one in Yahusha - Light and Life inseparable. When we eat of His Word, we receive illumination. When we walk in His light, we overcome darkness.

This approaching Shabbat is a feast of hearing and walking - hearing the Torah and walking it out in joy. Let the Ruach cleanse our inner table, remove distractions, and prepare a dwelling place for the Living Word within us.

Let the Davar not only be what we read, but what we become - the living testimony of YHVH’s faithfulness written upon the tablets of our hearts.

🌿 Reflection

“To eat of the Word is to live in the Word.

To live in the Word is to shine with the light of Yahusha.”

🤲🏻 Closing Prayer and Intercession

Abba YHVH, we lift our voices before You this morning with gratitude and trust. Thank You for being our strength, our refuge, and our provider. Let Your Word take root in our hearts and bear fruit that glorifies Your Name. Baruch YHVH.

Father, we pray for peace in the Middle East, South Africa, and across the nations. We ask You to still the winds of violence, turn the hearts of leaders toward righteousness, and bring mercy where there has been bloodshed. May Your Shalom prevail in the lives of those who have known terror and loss. Baruch YHVH.

Lord, we pray for an end-time revival - a mighty visitation of the Ruach ha’Qodesh that awakens many to repentance and faith in Yahusha Ha’Mashiach. Stir up a hunger for Your Word and let many be drawn into covenant obedience. Baruch YHVH.

We remember the elderly who are frail, lonely, or struggling. Strengthen their bodies, comfort their spirits, and surround them with compassionate care. Grant dignity and peace in their days, and let Your presence be their greatest encouragement. Baruch YHVH.

We bring before You the farmers who sow and harvest for the bread of the nations. Bless their labour, protect their crops from drought, pests, and market injustice, and send timely rain and increase. Provide for their needs and reward their faithfulness. Baruch YHVH.

We intercede for evangelists and witnesses of the Kingdom, especially those facing persecution. Strengthen their courage, preserve their lives, and multiply the fruit of their testimony even in hostile places. Let the Name of Yahusha be glorified through their faithfulness. Baruch YHVH.

Father, we pray for the sick - especially those battling cancer and those afflicted by new viral diseases spreading rapidly. Bring supernatural healing where You will, provide wisdom to medical teams, and comfort grieving families. Let mercy and restoration flow from Your throne. Baruch YHVH.

We also bring the coming tribulation before You - the birth pains that signify the season we live in. Strengthen Your people to stand firm in truth, give wisdom to prepare hearts and homes, and anoint Your witnesses to be lights in increasing darkness. Keep us faithful until Your return. Baruch YHVH.

Finally, we commit Derech Olam Ministries into Your hands. Bless its leaders, increase its outreach, provide for every need, and anoint its teaching to bring many to repentance and maturity. Use this ministry for Your glory and for the building up of Your people. Baruch YHVH.

Hear our prayers, O YHVH, and let Your favour rest upon Your people. Grant strength to the weary, healing to the sick, wisdom to rulers, and boldness to Your witnesses. We ask all this in the Name of Yahusha.

Baruch YHVH.

🕎 Shema

“Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: YHVH is our Elohim, YHVH is one.

And you shall love YHVH your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.

And you shall teach them diligently to your children,

And you shall speak of them when you sit in your house,

And when you walk by the way,

And when you lie down,

And when you rise up.

- Devarim 6:4-9 (YAH Scriptures)

💠 Final Blessing

Baruch YHVH, Elohim of Yisra’el, who fills our mornings with light, our hearts with peace, and our lives with purpose. May His Davar guide you throughout this day and prepare you for the joy of His Shabbat rest.

Until tomorrow! Shalom. 🕊️
